RealWear Smart Glasses

The ultimate smart glasses for use in industrial environments

In 2017, RealWear (originally an American company) launched the RealWear HMT-1. These Remote Collaboration Smart Glasses proved to be a direct hit with companies operating in industrial environments. Where comparable glasses such as the Microsoft Hololens 2, Vuzix M400 and Google Glass 2 are rather delicate devices, the RealWear HMT-1 is made for the heavier work. For example, the frame of the RealWear HMT-1 has been specially developed to survive a fall from two meters without any problems. In this blog we will go deeper into the specifications of the RealWear HMT-1 and look at the already newly released RealWear Navigator 500. And we answer the question: "What do you use the RealWear HMT-1 or RealWear Navigator 500 for?".

Tip: using and implementing an AR-Headset requires the necessary knowledge. So let us advise you Digital Tech Specialist.

In addition, the glasses can withstand strong water jets and exposure to heavy dust clouds (IP66 rating).

Wearing the RealWear HMT-1 is very comfortable. with name with The RealWear workband (a fabric/elastic band around the head) makes it almost invisible that you are wearing smart glasses. The glasses also stay firmly on the head, so that images can be filmed and/or displayed without too much movement.

What is the RealWear HMT-1 used for?

The RealWear HMT-1 comes into its own in a (heavy) industrial working environment where a professional has to watch from a distance. The RealWear HMT-1 can be placed on the welder's head without any problems or irritations (it does not affect the work), someone else can watch in detail with using the high-quality camera and give tips and the product manager does not have to worry about the equipment breaking during use.
